Terms of Service

By using AmenPray, you agree to these terms. Please read them — they are written in plain language, not legalese. They are designed to protect both you and us.

      The most important thing to understand: AmenPray and all its Luminaries — including Mateo, Martha, Simon, and Nathan — are artificial intelligence systems. They are not real people, priests, pastors, theologians, or licensed counselors. They are AI companions designed to support your spiritual reflection through scripture, prayer, and encouragement. Nothing shared on this platform constitutes professional religious, psychological, medical, or legal advice.
    

1. What AmenPray is

AmenPray is a subscription-based AI companion service that delivers daily Bible verses, personalized prayers, and faith-based conversation through WhatsApp and Telegram. Our AI guides ("Luminaries") are designed to accompany people of Catholic faith and anyone who wishes to engage with the Bible, prayer, and spiritual reflection.

AmenPray is an independent technology company. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or representative of the Catholic Church, any diocese, religious order, or denomination.

2. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using our service in any way, you confirm that:

You are at least 13 years old
You have read and agree to these Terms of Service
You have read and agree to our Privacy Policy
You understand that our Luminaries are AI — not human spiritual authorities

If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service.

3. The nature of our AI — important disclaimer

AmenPray's Luminaries are AI companions, not religious authorities. Their responses are generated by artificial intelligence trained on scripture and spiritual texts. They may occasionally produce inaccurate, incomplete, or unexpected content. AmenPray makes no claim that its AI guidance is theologically infallible, officially approved by any church, or suitable to replace the sacraments, confession, pastoral counseling, or professional psychological support.

Specifically, our Luminaries:

Cannot absolve sins or administer any sacrament
Cannot provide medical, psychological, or legal advice
Cannot guarantee spiritual outcomes of any kind
May not always cite scripture with perfect accuracy — always verify important references
Are not a substitute for a relationship with a real priest, pastor, or spiritual director

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, suicidal thoughts, or an emergency, please contact a qualified professional or emergency services immediately. AmenPray is not an emergency service.

4. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Do not share your account with others. Each subscription is for individual personal use only.

You agree not to use AmenPray to:

Harass, threaten, or abuse others
Attempt to manipulate the AI into producing inappropriate, violent, or hateful content
Impersonate any person or entity
Circumvent usage limits or attempt unauthorized access to our systems
Resell, redistribute, or commercialize our service or content
Use the service for any illegal purpose

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without refund.

5. Subscriptions and billing

AmenPray offers the following subscription plans:

Free Trial — 7 days, no credit card required, limited to trial message limits
Basic — $15/month (or £15/month), up to 30 messages per day
Devoted — $49/month (or £49/month), up to 200 messages per day, access to all Luminaries, voice messages

Subscriptions renew automatically each month. You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then.

We do not offer refunds for partial months. If you believe you have been charged in error, contact us within 30 days and we will review your case.

We reserve the right to change our prices with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers will be notified by email before any price change takes effect.

6. Your conversations and data

Your conversations with our Luminaries are stored to enable personalization — so that Mateo remembers your prayer intentions, your name, and the things that matter to you. This is the core of what makes the service meaningful.

        We do not read your conversations. Access to individual conversation content is technically possible for authorized engineers for the purpose of debugging or legal compliance only, and is subject to strict internal controls. We do not review, moderate, or read your spiritual conversations as a matter of routine practice. Your prayers are your own.
      

We may be legally required to disclose conversation data in response to a valid court order, law enforcement request, or to protect the safety of a person in imminent danger. In such cases, we will notify you where legally permitted to do so.

You retain ownership of the content you share. By using the service, you grant AmenPray a limited license to process that content for the purpose of delivering and improving the service. We will never use your personal conversations to train public AI models.

7. Message limits and fair use

Each plan includes a daily message limit to ensure service quality for all users. These limits reset every 24 hours. Devoted plan members receive up to 200 messages per day. A per-minute rate limit applies to all plans to prevent automated or bot-like usage.

AmenPray is designed for personal, human use. Automated use of the service, including bots or scripts, is prohibited and will result in account suspension.

8. Intellectual property

The AmenPray brand, website, interface, and underlying technology are owned by AmenPray. Scripture quotations are from public domain translations unless otherwise noted. You may not reproduce or distribute AmenPray content for commercial purposes without written permission.

9. AI-generated content — errors and limitations

All responses from our Luminaries are generated automatically by artificial intelligence. No human reviews, approves, or monitors individual conversations in real time. AmenPray does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or theological correctness of any AI-generated response.

You acknowledge and accept that:

AI responses may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or theologically imprecise
Scripture references may not always be perfectly cited — always verify with an authoritative Bible source
The AI may respond in unexpected ways that do not reflect the views or intentions of AmenPray
You use the service at your own discretion and bear sole responsibility for any decisions made based on AI-generated content

AmenPray acts as a platform connecting you with AI technology provided by third-party large language model (LLM) providers. We do not own, operate, or control the underlying AI models that generate responses, and these providers may change over time. We are not responsible for the inherent limitations, errors, or behaviour of those underlying systems.

By using AmenPray, you agree not to hold AmenPray, its founders, employees, or contractors liable for any content generated by its AI Luminaries, regardless of the nature or impact of that content.

10. Limitation of liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. AMENPRAY MAKES NO WARRANTY THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AmenPray and its team are not liable for:

Any spiritual, emotional, or psychological outcomes resulting from use of the service
Inaccurate, incomplete, or unexpected AI-generated content
Service interruptions, downtime, or data loss
Any decision made in reliance on content from our Luminaries
Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages of any kind

Our total liability to you in any circumstance shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid us in the six (6) months prior to the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) $100 USD. This cap applies regardless of the legal theory under which the claim is brought.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page and notify active subscribers by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales, unless you are located in a jurisdiction with mandatory local consumer protection laws that override this.
