1. Who we are
AmenPray is an AI-powered spiritual companion service. Our platform connects users with a conversational AI guide ("Mateo") through WhatsApp and Telegram. We are not affiliated with any church, religious institution, or denomination.
Important: Mateo is an artificial intelligence. He is not a pastor, priest, theologian, or spiritual authority. His responses are inspired by the Bible and designed for reflection and encouragement — they are not a substitute for professional pastoral or psychological counsel.
2. Information we collect
When you create an account and use AmenPray, we collect:
Account data — name, email address, and password (encrypted)
Contact data — phone number used to link WhatsApp or Telegram
Conversation data — messages exchanged with Mateo to personalize your experience
Preference data — language, notification time, plan type
Usage data — how and when you interact with the service (anonymized)
Billing data — subscription status only; card details go directly to Stripe
3. How we use your information
To deliver daily Bible verses at your preferred time
To allow Mateo to personalize his responses to your needs
To manage your subscription and process payments
To send account and service communications
To improve the quality and accuracy of Mateo's responses using anonymized data
We will never use your conversations to train public AI models or share them with any third party.
4. Data sharing
We work with a small number of trusted service providers:
Stripe — payment processing
Twilio / Meta API — WhatsApp message delivery
Telegram Bot API — Telegram message delivery
OpenAI / AI provider — powers Mateo's responses (data processed under strict confidentiality)
Each provider is bound by data processing agreements. We do not sell data. We do not share data for advertising purposes.
5. Your rights
You have the right to:
Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate information
Request deletion of your account and all associated data
Export your conversation history
Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time
Cancel your subscription at any time with no penalty

6. Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove all personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain billing records by law (typically 7 years).
7. Security
We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (TLS) and at rest. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Access to user data is restricted to authorized staff only.
8. Children
AmenPray is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it immediately.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users by email of any significant changes. Continued use of the service after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
